Networking Important for Small Business

Last Friday we attended Our Boardroom, this is a unique networking group set up by a company called Power of 300.

The Boardroom is a group of 7-10 small business owners who gather together once a month. The group is facilitated by a staff member of Power of 300*.  The group enables the members to discuss different challenges related to small business, key wins we have along the way, goal setting for your business. We also have a different specialist come in each month to discuss and educate us on different topic related to small business.

As the owner of The Printing Company which falls into the small business category.  These sessions are invaluable, I get to see the trials that other members have with there businesses and how they overcome them.  It is also an opportunity for me to look inside other businesses and see how they operate.

It’s so beneficial to be able to get a different perspective from other board members on challenges I have faced. It’s like the old saying “a problem shared is a problem halved” to be able share a challenge and have people imputing their ideas or experiences is fantastic.  I also like being able to help the other members with challenges they may be facing.

I urge all small business owners out there to join a business group for not only do you get the support from people in similar  situations as you, you also learn from speakers that are bought in and maybe at the end of it you may get some extra business.

Love to hear which network group you are part of!
